Team Nepal arrived in Kathmandu Saturday around lunch. We were so thankful for a hassle-free trip the whole way Sent from my iPhone
On our van ride to the hotel Anand filled is in on the political happenings, his ministry here and some the changes since last year as we all took in the sights of this beautiful country with its exotic textiles, aromas and people. We arrived at the Hotel Titanic, which is run by Anands' uncle and were warmly greeted. We were treated to a delicious traditional Nepali lunch, and the chef at the hotel come out to speak to us and shared that he is a fellow believer in Christ. We heard his story and had the privilege of praying with him.
We were all exhausted and unclear about what day or time it was and we slept soundly.
Well rested we met for breakfast Sunday morning and then worshiped as a team, praying for the power of the Holy Spirit and the people we will meet here in Nepal.
Anand then took us on a walk through the city to a high temple where we witnessed preparations for a Nepali wedding and Anand explained about the spiritual darkness that exists in his country.
After lunch we met Pastor Jonathan at the airport and traveled to Nepalgunj. On the flight we were able to see the majestic Himalayan mountains that are indescribably beautiful. We then traveled a few miles outside of the city to the village where we'll be teaching for the next two days. We met the pastor and his wife who live behind their small church buildings and several of the believing village children who came to see us. We greater them with the Nepali believers greeting which means Christ is the Victor. Seeing where we would be the next day helped us to ready our hearts for the teaching for the next two days.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers! Keep them coming! These people are kind and friendly and there is so much joy in them. We want them to know our Christ!
