Monday and Tuesday we had the privilege of teaching the most amazing people in a small village in the town of Kohapur, Nepal.We arrived at the church on Monday morningto a warm welcome. The pastor and the people were incredibly gracious to us. There were over 50 men, women, youth and children, some of whose traveled more than 8 hours by bus to attend the conference.The worship team, full of the youth of the church, kicked off the event, and the sweet sound of believers of different languages joyfully worshipping Jesus together was incredible. The Holy Spirit was undeniably present as we all worshipped and prayed in our own language.Teaching time followed led by our friends, interpreters and Nepali church planters Anand and Johnathan. Pepper's interactive teaching of Matthew 28's great commission was well received and great fun! In the afternoon we broke up into ladies and men's sessions, where we learned more about disciple making.At breaks we made new friends and took lots of pictures! The women bonded quickly with the young girls and children, many of whom knew English fairly well. The guys had great fellowship with the men and particularly liked standing on chairs to be as tall as Pepper.Day two we greeted our new friends with hugs and the Nepali believers greeting (ji-mon-see)...Christ is the victor! Even a tiny 18 month old girl smiled and said the greeting with prayer hands!We ended the day swapping small gifts and candy, email addresses and lots of hugs and promises of prayer for each other. These people God's precious children. One of my new friends hugged me as we left and said, "Please remember me!"How could any of us forget this glimpse into God's work in Nepal?!
